You can use royalty-free samples and loops from platforms like SoundTrap in your music, but only if you have the correct rights to distribute them commercially, especially to platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Meta, and other user-generated content (UGC) platforms. While some samples or beats are labeled “royalty-free,” this does not automatically mean they are cleared for full commercial use or UGC distribution. In many cases, these licenses are non-exclusive or non-transferable, which does not meet the standards required by Unchained Music or our digital distribution partners.

Tracks that rely heavily on drag-and-drop loops, stock melodies, or unmodified sample packs, particularly when lacking original creative input, may be flagged or rejected during the review process. UGC platforms have especially strict policies to avoid infringing or recycled content, and your music must be clearly original and legally distributable to be eligible.
