FAQ
Distribution

What are the audio file requirements for my music?

To distribute music through Unchained Music, your audio must meet both technical specifications and creative quality standards.

All files must be submitted in either WAV or FLAC format, with a sample rate of 44.1kHz or 48kHz, and a bit depth of 16-bit or 24-bit. Mono recordings are not accepted. Audio must be delivered in stereo format. Submissions must reflect a final, professional master with clean sound, free of distortion, clipping, glitches, background noise, or excessive silence at the beginning or end.

Beyond technical quality, we also review the artistic integrity of your audio. Submissions must show clear human creative input, demonstrate musical intent, and be more than just functional or loop-based background content. Generic loops, mass-produced sounds, or content that lacks structure or originality will be rejected, especially if it’s designed to exploit algorithms or DSP policies rather than represent genuine artistic expression.

If your track includes AI-generated elements, pre-made beats, or third-party samples, you must also submit proper documentation confirming you have the rights to distribute and monetize the content. Tracks that don’t meet these standards may be flagged, delayed, or rejected during review.

To avoid issues and ensure your release is eligible for wide distribution, please review our full Content Policy before submitting your music.
