Unchained Music now offers direct distribution to Vevo for just $29 per year, available on any paid plan. This service allows you to deliver official music videos to Vevo’s global network — including distribution across YouTube Vevo channels and Vevo apps — provided your content meets the requirements below.

Content Guidelines
Some content elements may be accepted but could still be rejected by Vevo. These include hashtags, scrolling credits, and brief display (no longer than 3 seconds) of album pack shots, cover art, record label or management logos, production company logos, or charitable foundation logos.

The following content will be rejected unless pre-approved:

• Release dates (including “Coming Soon” or “Out Now”)
• Logo bugs, chyrons, or lower-third graphics
• Burned-in logos
• Brand or product logos
• Digital/physical retail or DSP callouts or buttons
• URLs, Twitter handles, or Instagram handles
• Static text credit screens with no music
• Videos missing a black frame at the beginning and end

Technical Requirements – Video

• Compression: H.264
• Format: .mp4
• Dimensions: 1920 x 1080 (preferred)
• Frame Rate: Native (minimum 23.98 fps)
• Bit Rate: 20 Mbps (minimum 7500 kb/s)
• File must be de-interlaced (no interlacing)
• Multi-pass encoding preferred
• Do not use frame re-ordering, front or end slates, title cards, or end cards

Audio Requirements

• Format: AAC
• Channels: Stereo (L/R)
• Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz
• Bit Rate: 320 kbps CBR

Artwork for Vevo Releases
Cover art for music videos must be in a 16:9 aspect ratio with minimum dimensions of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 300 dpi. The artwork must be a still thumbnail from the video itself and must not include black bars or framing.

Asset Preparation and Upload
Before uploading, organize your video and thumbnail in a single folder:

• My Video.mov – video file (named as the track title)
• thumbnail.jpg – thumbnail image

Vevo Channel Creation
Requests for new Vevo channels or artists needing a channel created must be submitted at least three weeks before the video release date. Each video can only be associated with a single artist’s Vevo channel. Artist profile photos must be at least 5000 x 5000 px at 72 dpi.

With these requirements met, you’ll be ready to release your official music videos on Vevo’s global platform — all for just $29 per year on any paid plan.
