What are the fees for transferring royalties through Tipalti?

Unchained Music does not take a cut of your royalty withdrawals. Tipalti, the payment processor we use, charges a small fee per transfer that depends on the payout method and currency you choose.

Typical Tipalti fees by method:

• ACH bank transfer (US): free or up to $1 per transfer.
• Local bank transfer (most countries): free or up to $5 per transfer.
• International wire: $15 to $25 per transfer, plus an FX conversion spread if the currency differs from USD.
• PayPal: approximately 2 percent of the transfer, capped per Tipalti's PayPal agreement.
• Paper check (US): approximately $5 to $10 per transfer.

You will see the exact fee for your specific withdrawal in your Unchained Music dashboard before you confirm it, so there are no surprises at the end of the process. The fee is deducted from the transfer amount, not added on top.

If you withdraw frequently in small amounts, the per-transfer fee can add up. We recommend accumulating royalties to a higher threshold before withdrawing to minimise the relative cost.
